Roller Furling Jib
The common roller furling jib involves a long roller
system on the forestay. A drum and sheets (lines) leading astern are
used to reef or fill the jib. Pulling on one line causes the jib to
wrap around the forestay and reduce sail area. Pulling the other line
unrolls the job from the forestay, increasing sail area.
